Children Sites 

This site provides sites of interest to various ages of children and adults. The sites listed connect to many other Internet Sites. Adults need to explore the various sites to decide the appropriateness for the child/children that are using them. Whereas these sites have been ensured as Kidsafe, they are not always individually appropriate for every child.

This web site is designed for 3 -10 year old Internet users. It has a picture based environment that hyperlinks to kid-friendly web sites. Topics of sites include nature, environment, animals, pets, cultures, people, hobbies and many more. There are games and activities available at this site. The web sites are screened by people who are ensuring that these sites are safe and of interest to children.

Dig provides a wealth of useful, entertaining and interesting information, organized into easy-to-find sections and sub-categories. This site has interactive games for children in the primary grades. Math Baseball, Change Maker, Fun Match, Spell Check and Wacky Tales are the titles of the games available at this site. Check out the additional sites for kids "Links for Kids" at the bottom of this page for more choices. Some of those sites may be more suitable for older children.
 
Funschool

Funschool is a web site with free interactive educational software for kids from preschool-sixth grade. Lots of choices for each age level. It does take a few minutes to load the chosen activity. As it is loading, you can watch spiralgraphs while the school bus moves from left to right. Once the bus reaches the right side, the spiralgraphs disappear and the activity chosen appears. The "Where is this state?" activity in the 1st grade section would be challenging for first graders, in my opinion, but certainly could be educational and fun for older elementary children. Have fun exploring this site.
